What is a Date Block?
A Date block is a Field Block that provides an interactive calendar or time picker interface, allowing users to select a specific date, time, or both, rather than typing it manually. This ensures accuracy and consistency in data input.
Step-by-Step: Adding a Date Block
Configure Your Date Field: Once the Date block appears, you'll configure its properties:
Type: Define whether you want to collect a date, time, or both.
- Date: Only allows date selection (e.g., Month, Day, Year).
- Time: Only allows time selection (e.g., Hour, Minute).
- Date and Time: Allows selection of both.
Default Value: Set an initial value for the field when the form loads.
- Current: Automatically populates with the current date/time when the user opens the form.
- Specific: Allows you to pick a fixed default date/time from a calendar.
Minimum Date/Time: Set the earliest date/time a user can select.
- Current: Users can only select from the current date/time onwards.
- Specific: Allows you to pick a fixed earliest date/time.
Maximum Date/Time: Set the latest date/time a user can select.
- Current: Users can only select up to the current date/time.
- Specific: Allows you to pick a fixed latest date/time.
Saving Your Changes
Remember to manually save your changes after configuring Date blocks by clicking the "Save" button in the editor.
Unsaved changes can be lost if you close the editor without saving.
